Nominations are now open for the prestigious Legends Awards 2025, part of the highly anticipated A Night with Legends celebration. This year’s theme, “Generations United,” brings together South Africa’s cultural icons, sporting moments, and musical powerhouses for a once-in-a-lifetime celebration.
Honouring South Africa’s Icons
The Legends Awards 2025 will recognize individuals who have made exceptional contributions in their fields, shaping the nation’s story through their work, creativity, and impact. Awards will be presented in 10 categories:
- -Music: Outstanding contributions to the music industry
- Sports: Achievements that inspire and unite the nation
- Performing Arts: Excellence in theatre, dance, and other performing arts
- Literature & Storytelling: Celebrating authors, writers, and storytellers
- Heritage & Culture: Preserving and promoting South Africa’s rich cultural heritage
- Innovation & Business: Recognizing entrepreneurial spirit and innovation
- Humanitarian & Social Impact: Honouring individuals making a difference in their communities
- Youth Inspiration: Empowering and inspiring the next generation
- Lifetime Achievement: Recognizing outstanding contributions and achievements
- People’s Choice: The people’s choice award, voted by the public

A Night with Legends 2025
The event takes place on November 1, 2025, at the Vodadome, Midrand, and features:
- Live – match screening of the Orlando Pirates vs Mamelodi Sundowns game
- The Legends Awards segment, honouring South Africa’s greatest living legends
- A world-class concert featuring South Africa’s most loved performers
