Woman’s Warehouse officially kicked off 2021 with their first Woman’s Warehouse Safety workshop this past Saturday 6th February at Unit 76 Northlands Deco Park, North Riding.
Woman’s Warehouse partnered up with Night Guard Security and Kalah Israeli Combat Systems to educate and empower the 20 women who took part on the day. With a 9:00am start the ladies were treated to a continental breakfast and Night Guard Security started the proceedings with a theory section presented by Zaine Eblen Director of Operations at Night Guard Security.
Zaine discussed current crime statistics, crime trends in the Fourways area and your legal rights when protecting yourself. The main topic for the day was Home Invasions where the ladies were educated on the 3 main survival steps when finding yourself in a home invasion.
Kalah Combat Systems started the first practical session for the day with a real life rape scenario. The training system’s foundation is based on “Stress Based” training incorporating real life scenarios to educate and empower women to protect themselves.

The ladies took a break for lunch and with session 2 focusing on Gun Defence they were taught how to disarm a potential attacker. The final session was an informative Pepper Spray demonstration given by Ronald Clevely (Operations Manager) at Woman’s Warehouse highlighting the do’s and don’ts when using this form of protection. The ladies got to use a dummy pepper spray on targets provided by Woman’s Warehouse to give them a real life experience.
Feeling motivate and empowered Nadine Clevely (Founder) of Woman’s Warehouse closed off with some positive words on women empowerment and the Woman’s Warehouse movement and then the ladies took the opportunity to shop in the Woman’s Warehouse retail section.
