“I edge the society, government and private sector to assist”

Miss Albinism SA 2020/21 finalist, Mpho Moloi-Rampai from Botshabelo, Free State recently celebrated her birthday with people living with disabilities in her community.

“One of the responsibilities we have as finalists is to give back to the community, to develop the society around us, to take care of the needs of vulnerable, I therefore decided to celebrate my birthday with Tokoloho Disability Care Center”, said Moloi-Rampai”.

“I chose Tokoloho because it caters for persons with disabilities.I wanted to give them exposure, so that they can be assisted and developed”, she added.

Tokoloho has been in existence for 20 years and has been taking care of persons with disabilities quite well under the leadership of Mme Marry Mbewa since it started. The centre does hand work; making carpets, shoes, table cloths using wool, but unfortunately they’re struggling to get material, they also need tables and chairs.

“I edge the society, government and private sector to assist”, pleaded Mpho.

“I would like to thank Metro Food Market Botshabelo for their donations, Shine Banyane Sports Club for the support, Godfrey Mphatswe Foundation for seeing the potential in persons with Albinism and Miss Albinism South Africa for the awesome opportunity. Most importantly Mangaung Metropolitan Municipality Community your support humbles me”.
