Legends Awards: Honoring icons of SA Entertainment

Sophistication meets elegance, a night with sensational poised individuals who have been carrying Mzansi’s entertainment industry.

The vibrant cultural landscape of South Africa shone with distinguished brilliance on the 1st of November, as a highly anticipated Legend Awards took center stage at Voda world in Midrand (Johannesburg).

The event, organized through the collaborative efforts of SABC2, PLAY YOUR PART, Legend Awards committee, brought together pioneers, creators, and trailblazers who have shaped the nation’s entertainment identity across generations.

More than an award ceremony, the evening served as a heartfelt celebration of endurance, creativity and significant impact of those who have dedicated their lives to telling South African stories through film, music, fashion, broadcasting and the performing arts.

It was a night of reflection, recognition and renewed appreciation for the artists who continue to inspire both emerging talents and loyal audience.

Honoring those who paved the way. The honorees of the evening represented a league of iconic figures, who had stood the test of time. Among those honorees were:

Leleti Khumalo, whose unforgettable performances have left a lasting cultural imprint in both theaters and television -well known as SARAFINA – our freedom fighter.
