“When you think better, you can do better… ”

As conversations around education and youth opportunities continue, author and motivational speaker Kudakwashe T. Muganu is using his latest book to champion the value of education. His newly released book, Who Does Not Want to Quit School? – Encourages readers to persevere through challenges and see education as a lifelong investment rather than simply a path to employment.

Muganu says the book was inspired by his observations while engaging with communities as well as conversations with young people who have struggled to remain in school.

“As we know, many young people today believe in hustling and making quick money,” he said. “They want to make money by taking shortcuts, but education has proven time and again to be the key to success.”

The author believes the conversation extends beyond the classroom. Through visits to schools, churches, conferences and seminars, he encourages young people to remain committed to their studies and to recognize the long term value of learning.

“My philosophy is that life is hard, but life is harder when you are a not educated,” he said. “When you think better, you can do better.”

While the books speaks directly to learners who may be considering leaving school, Muganu says the message is relevant to people of all ages.

“Nowadays, you can learn through the internet, YouTube, books television and many other platforms,” he said. “Technology is moving very fast, and education is helping us adapt to these changes.”

One encounter continues to remind him why the message matters.  Muganu recalls meeting a young woman who had dropped out of school and became involved in drugs and alcohol. After returning to school, she began rebuilding her future – an experience he says reaffirmed his commitment to encourage others not to give up.

Beyond writing, Muganu is a certified life coach, motivational speaker and philanthropist. His work has earned him recognition through several accolades, including Outstanding Author of the Year at the 2023 Zimbabwe Achievers Awards, Motivational Speakers of the Year at the 2025 Emerge Africa Awards and Motivational Speaker of the Year at the 2026 Icons of Africa Awards.

Looking ahead, Muganu is working on a children’s book as he continues using literature and public speaking to inspire the next generation.

His hope is that the book will encourage readers to persevere through life’s challenges and remember that education still remains one of the most valuable investments they can make in themselves.
