Sandile Msimango, popularly known by his stage name Young Stunna has just received his first international nod, once again proving that #Amapianototheworld is a phenomenon every South African native should be proud of.

The “Bopha” and “Adiwele” hit maker became an overnight success in South Africa, now Young “Stunner” is going international and Mzansi is so proud! His newly found superstardom and musical career is enormous.

The star has been announced as one of this year’s international BET Award nominees under the viewer’s choice category Best New International Act alongside Nigeria’s Ayra Starr and Pheelz.

Young, black and gifted. The 22-year-old took to Instagram to share the good news much to the delight of his many followers. Thanking his mom and his fans that continue to support him.

He is not the only South African raising the flag oh so high at this year’s BET awards.

Major League Djs have also bagged themselves a nomination in the Best International Act category. Alongside Fireboy DML (Nigeria) Little Sims (UK) Ludmilla (Brazil) TAYC (France) and Tems (Nigeria)

The duo took to twitter to relay the message to the masses.

“MOMMY YOUR BOYS ARE NOMINATED FOR A @BET AWARDS PIANO TO THE WORLD” wrote Major League DJs

The award ceremony is set to take place on June 26, 2022 and will air live from the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles

Taraji P. Henson will host the ceremony.

Congratulations are in order. Bring the award back to the mother land!!!
