Flamboyant superstar Moshe Ndiki has been confirmed to be leaving Gomora.
This comes after a brawl unfolded right before our eyes between Moshe and controversial Twitter blogger Musa Khawula.
About a month ago, Khawula claimed that actor and presenter Moshe Ndiki has been “fired” from Mzansi Magic’s hit telenovela “Gomora”, a report that cames after he and Moshe were allegedly involved in a physical altercation.
Taking to Twitter, Khawula alleged that Moshe was fired from ‘Gomora’ because they “felt he was bringing their name into disrepute“.
“I’d also like to thank each and every one of you who signed my petition which led to Moshe getting fired. Check mate b***h”. Khawula tweeted.
The whole debacle continued as Khawula also opened an assault case against Ndiki and started a petition against the actor after the incident.
However, Mzansi Magic refuted the claims made by Khawula and confirmed that Moshe was not fired due to the “viral” petition that the popular blogger had started.
“Storylines often change and episodes are shot in advance. The Faku suspension storyline was in place prior to the fight between Moshe and Musa thus it’s completely unrelated. At no point it was said the “suspension” is permanent,” said Shirley Adonisi, director of local entertainment channels at M-Net.
The actor, TV presenter and all round entertainer joined the third season of Mzansi Magic’s telenovela and made his first appearance on May 20.
Ndiki portrayed the character of Andile Faku, Gomora High School’s newest teacher whose life has been ruined by his habit of gambling.
He moved from the leafy suburb of Sandton to Alex and is now playing out a storyline that sees him suspended from Gomora High school.
Speaking to Drum the star said he enjoyed shooting for the show.
“When I am there, it is like I am with family, it’s like I am chilling with my cousins and it’s all fun. Yes, work comes first but we are really made to feel at home. I honestly do not mind waking up at 4am to get to work.”
Gomora airs every weekdays on Mzansi Magic at 19h30
In an unrelated incident – Musa Khawula has appeared in court for allegedly fatally stabbing Wandile Khambule in March this year after the pair had a quarrel outside the deceased’s home. IOL reports that Khawula has already admitted fatally stabbing Khambule but said it was in self-defence.
