Legendary Afro-pop music duo Mafikizolo Announce New Dates for their 25th Anniversary Tour
The duo of Nhlanhla Mafu and Theo Kgosinkwe is set to celebrate in style as they collaborate with Mazwi Dyne Group for a planned grand tour.
The group originally consisted of three members when they released their self-titled debut album in 1997, Mafikizolo. The third member, Tebogo Madingoane, died in 2004.
Mafikizolo has already set off the celebration by releasing their much-anticipated 10th studio album, titled Idwala in August.
The 14-song album features a variety of great musicians and producers like Sjava on “10K”, Simmy on “Mamezala” and Zakes Bantwini on “Abasiyeke”, to name a few.
To celebrate their monumental 25th year in the music industry, Mafikizolo has, in partnership with Mazwi Dyne Group, planned a grand tour. In a first-of-its-kind move, this is the first national tour, the Mafikizolo 25th Anniversary Legacy Tour, which will have dates in seven provinces. Promising to be an experience of a lifetime, get ready to relive Mafikizolo’s journey through music as never before.

The Mazwi Dyne Group announced that the Mafikizolo 25th Anniversary Legacy Tour, which was scheduled to start on the 17th of December 2022 at Sun Arena, has been moved to the 13th of May 2023.
The decision to postpone intends to make sure all Mafikizolo fans have enough time to restructure their diaries to attend a once in a lifetime event that promises to be an experience for the ages.
Mazwi Dyne Group CEO, Elias Skhosana, assured all Mafikizolo loyal supporters that he is fully committed to hosting the inaugural Mafikizolo 25th Anniversary Legacy Tour and that the agency will make sure all those who want to attend the tour throughout South Africa and Africa in 2023 will have enough time to prepare.
“Mazwi Dyne Group is fully committed to hosting the inaugural Mafikizolo 25th Anniversary Legacy Tour throughout South Africa and Africa in 2023. We understand the amount of love and appreciation South Africans have for the Mafikizolo brand. We also understand that our people have very busy schedules post-COVID-19 economic recovery. Those are some of the reasons we believe that May 2023 weekend is a reasonable time to attend the lavish event in Sun City”, said Skhosana.
