AFI Fashion Week a huge success

African Fashion Unites

The opening of AFI Fashion Week was a success. The performances from Kwesta, Femi Kuti and the Ndlovu Youth choir blew the audience away. Thembisa Mdoda held it down at the red carpet, interacting with fashionable guests.

The Pan African fashion showcase with designers; Christie Brown (Ghana), Maxhosa (SA), Gavin Rajah (SA), Eric Raisina (Madagascar), Mai Atafo (Nigeria), Kahindo Mateena (DRC/USA), Laurence Airline (Ivory Coast), KLûK CGDT (SA), Moshions (Rwanda) and Neo Serati (SA), brought out the beauty of Africa.

This show was joined by e faces such as the amazing Miss SA Zozibini Tunzi, Zandile Msutwana, K. Naomi, André Lotter, Hildegardt Whites, Nicholas Nkuna, Mishal Mookrey, Theodore Jantjies, Debora Nana Akyaa Beeko, Joy Kendi Mwiandi, and the Mbadiwe twins Ozee Scovy Ozumba Mbadiwe and Oseloka Holiday Mbadiwe.

David Tlale wrapped up the first day of AFI Fashion Week, with a beautiful, heartfelt tribute to his mother.
