Royalty Soapie Awards are back with a bang. It’s their 6th instalment and we are here for it.
The countdown has officially begun. The much-anticipated Royalty Soapie Awards has commenced with a call to entry for all local talent in storytelling.
The 6th edition of the awards ceremony will take place on the 4th of March 2023 showcasing South African’s world-renowned storytelling talent and of course emphasizing the importance of stories in our lives.
The Awards organisers took to all its social media pages to announce the exciting news.

Entries for submissions from creative, technical, and acting will open as of 21 November 2022, up until 15 December 2022.
The Royalty Soapie awards honours Daily TV Dramas, Soap operas and Telenovelas. There are six category groups in total, namely – Outstanding Lead Actor, Outstanding Lead Actress, Outstanding Male Villain, Outstanding Female Villain and Outstanding Daily TV Drama.
We are in for a treat as there are two new categories added this year… first one being MOST WATCHED SHOW: This category is not open for entry; the winner will be determined by audited reports conducted and published by an independent research council.
Second one, TRAIL BLAZER AWARD: This category is also not open for entry; the winner will be determined by audited reports conducted and published by an independent research council.
All roads lead to the 6th Royalty Soapie Awards ceremony which will take place on the 4th of March 2023.
