“The therapy session’s aim is to reduce the amount of deaths due to depression and mental health issues”.

The entertainment industry can be overwhelming,  with all the pressures of constantly having to make sure that you produce the best work, spending relentless hours and living up to the uncompromising demands made by the industry. All of this dedication and demands tend to have a mental strain on the entertainers and could lead to them having anxiety and depression.

Dr. Cino Shearer, Founder of the Cino Shearer foundation has taken it upon himself to help the entertainers suffering from mental issues, by offering them free psychological services.

“The inspiration behind helping artists is that artists are the most important gateway to education and balanced society and must be preserved” Dr. Cino says.

Making sure that he reaches as many entertainers as possible; Dr Cino has developed a mobile assist which will kick start this festive season. The Mobile assist will be traveling in and around South Africa and Africa and will be offering free psychological help and also raise awareness of the mental issues and how to deal with them.

“The therapy session’s aim is to reduce the amount of deaths due to depression and mental health issues”.

Dr Cino wants to make sure that he also normalizes the conversations around mental health. Making sure that young artists that are looking to enter the industry are well aware of the mental issues within the industry “never lose your individuality and stick to the basics of life, balance” says Dr. Cino to the young people entering the industry
