Sjava Releases Isibuko Deluxe Followed by Durban & Joburg Tour

Following the success of the 18-track studio album Isibuko released in January 2023, Sjava is adding 3 new tracks and dropping a deluxe version of the album today – 10th of May 2024.

In an exclusive interview with SA POSITIVE NEWS the multifaceted star revealed that the  deluxe version of the album, isibuko is a gift to his many adoring fans.

“The support that Isibuko has received over the past year has been very humbling. This deluxe is really for the fans who’ve supported the album and have wanted more from it. This is a thank you to them”, said Sjava.

Much to the delight of Sjava’s fans and lovers of Isibuko, the deluxe promises to continue the reflective and emotional journey that listeners have been on since January of last year.

As of January, of this year, only one year after the release of Isibuko, the album had reached platinum, with 54,2 million streams worldwide, and continues to chart to this day. Isoka has a double platinum certification while Amavaka and Amakhehla have platinum certifications. Gold certifications are held by Grounding, Kube Ngangazi, Thixo, Ubuhle Bendalo, Amaphiko, My Life, Iphisi, Dudlu, Ungavumi, Amanxeba, Akabuye, Ithuna, and Time.

Following a three-city sold out Isibuko Tour to support the album in 2023, Sjava is scheduled to embark on a 2024 leg of the tour in Durban and Johannesburg, which will feature performances of the newly released Isibuko Deluxe album.

The first show will be held in Durban at the Playhouse Theatre on the 22nd of June, followed by two nights at the Johannesburg Theatre on the 12th and 13th of July. The shows will consist of performances by Sjava, and the artists featured on the 21 track Deluxe album.

The music maestro told SA POSITIVE NEWS that he is elated about performing the album at the 2024 Isibuko Tour, “Performing Isibuko is so special, and the theatre setting is very intimate. I’m looking forward to sharing this special space again and introducing the new songs to all the people who have fallen in love with Isibuko”.
