SA Heroes Awards Sponsor Mohlalefi Engineering wins Presidential Award for Job Creation

Mohlalefi Engineering (Pty) Ltd, sole sponsor for the South African Heroes Awards since 2020 has been announced the winner in the Job Creation Category of the Inaugural Presidential Black Industrialist and Exporters Awards – 2022.

The awards were presented during the inaugural Black Industrialists and Exporters Conference in Sandton, Johannesburg, yesterday.

“This conference is an opportunity to reflect on progress in advancing redress and equity in the South African economy”, said President Cyril Ramaphosa, addressing the conference.

Mohlalefi Engineering Managing Director, Martin Masitise was presented with the award for job creation.

“I would like to express my gratitude to the NEF, Our Executive Team, Our Board as well as the hardworking men and women who have made Mohlalefi their home. Thanks to DTIC for making it all possible”, said Masitise, who could not contain his excitement.

The award is in recognition of Mohlalefi’s impact in creating jobs, particularly addressing youth unemployment as well as skills development for young graduates.

The philanthropic company has made major moves and grown exponentially in the short period of its existence – having been running for only five years.

Mohlalefi Engineering was also a finalist for the Best Black Industrialist Manufacturer Award – 2022. “This is in recognition of our efforts in becoming a world-class manufacturer, a leading innovator of products and manufacturing technology as well as our contribution to the export market. Mohlalefi Engineering has developed several patents in the past few years and is currently exporting to several African countries, Masitise added.

The Managing Director was also elected to be a member of the Black Exporters Network, which was launched, by President Cyril Ramaphosa and DTIC Minister Ebrahim. This Ministerial network of Industrialists seeks to promote the export of South African manufactured goods.
