Veteran broadcaster Mpho Modise popularly known as Mo G has been fired from Metro FM.
This comes after his disgracing video of being manhandled made rounds on social media.
Mo G trended on social media after he landed in hot water. In the infamous video, the DJ is seen being manhandled and strangled by a guy called Jabu Brown.
What had happened was, Jabu Brown gave Mo G his BMW car to test drive before being featured on “Let’s Talk About It with Mo G” in a segment on the radio show which focuses on cars.
He then failed to bring the car back at the stipulated time, Mo G landed himself in a sticky situation where he was manhandled outside a venue he was playing at.
The infamous video of the debacle is still circulating and trending on social media, Mo G can be seen as having too much to drink and even the police were called to the scene.
Metro FM has decided to part ways with Mo G.
According to a statement from the station, his contract was terminated due to a material breach of contract.
“Metro FM will communicate in due course who will take over the show and a big thank you to the team that has held the fort during this period.” Said Metro FM business manager, Kina Nhlengethwa.
