Reigning Miss South Africa Lalela Mswane has been crowned Miss Supranational.
The beauty queen has just made the entire country beam with such joy and pride.
The beauty with brains to match competed in the Miss Supranational pageant last night, which took place in Poland. She came out victorious and was crowned Miss Supranational at the international competition, with Miss Thailand taking first runner up, second runner-up is Vietnam’s Nguyen Duyen.
Taking to Instagram ahead of the competition, Lalela said, “I don’t think words could express my gratitude for this experience. The people I have crossed paths with, the memories I have made and the things I have learnt have all been so enriching,”

Mswane is undoubtedly a hit in the beauty pageant world. She represented South Africa at Miss Universe 2021, putting her in second place as well.
The Miss Supranational competition is one of the top-3 important and prestigious international pageants in the world. It was established in 2009.
Congratulating Lalela on her historical crowning, Miss South Africa Organisation wrote on Twitter: “Congratulations to our Miss Supranational 2022. Once again, history has been made. We can’t contain our excitement! We are so proud of you @Lalela_lali. You’ve represented our nation in its full.
Upon her crowning Lalela said, “I am overwhelmed; at the moment it still feels surreal. I am deeply thankful to all the amazing people who have supported and uplifted me, I couldn’t have done it without them. I want to thank the organisers of Miss Supranational, the Polish people, all my fellow contestants, the Miss South Africa Organisation and my South African fans. This title is not mine alone, it is South Africa’s victory.”
