Indoni South Africa, the nation’s leading institution committed to the promotion of cultural heritage, pride, and values has announced the 2024 Indoni Miss and Mr. Cultural South Africa.
Indoni festival is a celebration of South Africa’s rich and diverse cultural heritage. Indoni SA is dedicated to fostering cultural awareness, empowering young South Africans, and highlighting the importance of unity through cultural pride. The festival aims to promote cultural awareness and appreciation among participants and the broader South African public; empower youth through personal development, public speaking, and leadership training.
Dr Nomcebo Mthembu, the visionary founder of Indoni South Africa, says the contestants are required to showcase their cultural attire, perform traditional songs and dances, and deliver speeches that reflect their heritage. Finalists will also take part in workshops designed to enhance personal growth, public speaking, cultural education, and community engagement.
The judging criteria will include, ·cultural representation, talent performance, public speaking skills, community involvement, overall presentation.
Emphasizing the organisation’s commitment to moral regeneration, especially among the youth, Dr Mthembu said: “Indoni SA is dedicated to advocating for moral regeneration through our identity focused. We address social challenges and promote positive behavioural change. By instilling pride and a sense of belonging, we empower young South Africans to embrace their cultural heritage and uphold the values that define our nation.”
Indoni SA invites the public to join in this momentous occasion, which will take off with a Street Carnival, a spectacular display of African art creativity, showcasing authentic floats and an array of colourful costumes, music, dances, and street feasts. An all-round continental street party that honours South Africa’s heritage, celebrating its cultural diversity, and reinforces the values that unite us as a nation, also creating a more inclusive, value-driven society where every culture is recognised and celebrated.
The prestigious event will take place at the Indoni Convention Centre on 14
December 2024 at Indoni Eco Village, in Richmond KwaZulu Natal. Leading
up to the Indoni Festival, the Indoni 2024 finalists’ Welcome Dinner will be hosted on 06 December 2024 in Durban.
