The much-anticipated South African Music Awards are upon us and the cat is finally out of the bag as organisers officially announced who will take centre stage as the host of the biggest night in music.

In a triumphant return to the public broadcaster, “intombi Yomzulu” Minnie Dlamini will usher the nation in setting the tone towards the milestone 30 years celebration of the most prestigious and coveted music award ceremony in South Africa.

Minnie Dlamini and The South African Music Awards organisers took to Instagram to make the announcement.

“The Samas are more than an awards show – they are a celebration of our rich musical legacy and a platform for South Africa’s extraordinary talent to shine.

“To be part of the milestone #SAMA30 is an absolute honour, and I’m beyond excited to bring my love for our music to this iconic stage.” expressed Minnie in a statement released by the   organisers

The 30th South African Music Awards promises to be a star-studded show like no others, celebrating 30 years of South African Music royalty with notable artists including KB, Skwatta Kamp, Bucy Radebe, Liquideep, Thebe, Matthew Mole, Mthandeni SK, Lwah Ndlunkulu, Zee Nxumalo, Babes Wodumo, Mthunzi, DJ Cleo, Arthur Mafokate, Rebecca Malope and many more.

Radio and Television personality Luthando “LootLove” Shosha, who also hosted the nominations event will host the Industry Awards and Pre-Show on November 1.

Astute Television Presenters Siphesihle Vazi and Kuhle Adams will hold it down as the red-carpet hosts on Saturday.

Luminaries, Ringo Madlingozi and Sipho “Big Fish” Makhabane will be bestowed with best the coveted Life Achievement Award. Oskido Mdlongwa will be honoured with the Chairperson’s Award and Tyla will be honoured with the International Achievement Award.

The riveting 30 years celebration of the most prestigious and coveted music award ceremony in South Africa is scheduled to take place on 2 November 2024 at Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand. With the theme Less Noise More Music, SAMA30 emphasises a renewed focus on artistry and creativity. The nominations berths are testament to the competitiveness and outstanding craftsmanship of the industry.
