The cat is out of the bag, talented Television presenter and actor Lawrence Maleka has officially returned as #SAMA28 host.
The South African Music Awards (SAMAs) announced that the star will work alongside Nandi Madida.
Lawrence is well known for his unimpeachable hosting skills as he has hosted numerous awards ceremonies and shows; it is no doubt that he will leave viewers glued to their small screens. Maleka is one of the best male Television presenters South Africa has to offer.
Lawrence is proving to be such a powerhouse in the entertainment industry. Although he is killing the role of Zolani on The River, his stellar hosting skills have gained him relevance.
He has previously hosted Big Brother Mzansi and is not new to the South African Music Awards brand as he hosted #SAMA27 with Bontle Modiselle Moloi in 2021.
Maleka took to Instagram to relay the news to his adoring fans… “I am again honoured to have received the call to host the country’s most prestigious awards show. I am excited about the calibre of artists that will be celebrated across 30 categories, the phenomenal performers that will ignite the stage, and the magic Nandi Madida and I will create on stage. It’s going to be a memorable iteration of the South African Music Awards”, captioned the post.
RiSA CEO Nhlanhla Sibisi said: “Lawrence Maleka is a natural fit for the SAMAs. He brings the type of energy, professionalism, and personality that resonates well with audiences. As a previous host, we know what he is capable of, and we are all looking forward to seeing him and Nandi Madida make #SAMA28 magic.
We also encourage the public to get their tickets via www.tickets.co.za at R395 for gallery seats, R795 for VIP seats and R495 for VIP After-party tickets.”
The much-anticipated awards ceremony will be held in Sun City on 28 August 2022 and broadcast live on SABC1.
The countdown has officially begun. All roads lead to Sun City, North West.
We can’t wait!
