After revealing that the competition will go ahead with a “new format” due to the coronavirus pandemic, the United Nations Pageant SA Organisation announced that the search for new queens & kings has officially begun.
“To the young men and women who are ready to be empowered and own the spaces they occupy voice; to the men and women whose duty is to serve and become an ambassador for South African youth; to the young men and women who are ready to step into their power and represent our nation on an international stage, this is the platform to enter.” says National Director Mpho Botha.
The pageant’s new structure will embrace the new normal and go digital. Candidates this year will participate in a virtual judging process and social media campaigns and only a selected few will be invited to the official crowning, where the new kings & queens will be crowned.
Winners this year will walk away with a bouquet of prizes, which include representing South Africa Internationally at the International Miss United pageant in New York City, a 12 month modelling contract with DJ models, makeup supplies for a year by Beauty Kouture, a wardrobe by Trend Ignition Sportswear, Haircare by Expavo Hair Design among many other prizes.
