“A lot of the times people don’t know where to start and I think what I just created gives them a great starting point…”
Talented thespian and all round superstar Enhle Mbali’s heart-warming gesture melts our hearts. The star is proving that she’s not only a pretty face but has a heart of gold as well.
The actress has announced that she will be giving bursaries to women who are suffering abuse.
In collaboration with her Foundation, Enhle Cares, that she launched a few years ago, the star will be giving away two bursaries and says some people have already come on board offering to help her make this special project a success.
Enhle Mbali, the Jack-Of-All-Trades can now safely add “Humanitarian” to her already impressive CV. We are here for it. We stan a focused and selfless Queen. She is giving us the content we signed up for!
The mother of two has managed to successfully put an effort in fighting gender-based violence. The scourge of this type of violence has hit the nation in ways unimaginable. She too has alleged that she is a victim of this horrendous act, apparently at the hands of her ex-husband Black Coffee.
Speaking to TshisaLIVE, Mbali said she had been glutted with calls from people who want to support the good cause.
“When I launched this it was the same year I created the dress for Beyoncé and it has always stood for women and children from abused backgrounds, the mental health of women from such backgrounds. It is a cause that is worth being a part of. I’m giving away bursaries and people have come by to say they would love to help.
“A lot of the times people don’t know where to start and I think what I just created gives them a great starting point.”
“The problem is we don’t talk about things, which is why depression has managed to manifest itself in such a big way. A lot of us do have depression because of the lifestyles we live and we don’t even know it. We work too much, we play too hard, our bodies and minds never have time to heal. This is the reason I feel I need to help”, she concluded.
She then took to Instagram to share the news with the masses – in a stunning video… “65% of abused women go back to their abuser due to lack of financial support and/or independence. The abuser knows this. We at Enhle Cares Foundation are working towards bridging that gap, slowly but surely. Giving away nail bursaries for you to create a life for yourself”, she captioned the post
Kudos to you Queen!
