The proudly and loudly South African Amapiano music genre has taken the world by storm – the Amapiano Africa summit is set to celebrate the success of Amapiano on a larger scale.
The first of its kind, Amapiano Africa summit is set to the place during youth month -June.
Curated and conceptualized by Thulani Maduse, well known in the entertainment and events industry as “Thulani way” under the With or Without You company and culturally influential movement, the aim is to infiltrate and educate creatives.
The much anticipated 2-Day summit will be placing the spotlight on the undeniable, ever growing and proudly South African amapiano music genre.
The summit will take place at the well-known zone 6 venue in Soweto, on Friday, June 23rd and Saturday June 24th.
Showcasing under the theme ‘revolutionization of amapiano” the implemented workshop will focus on translating the relevance and value of music and arts as a contributing factor to South African environment and youth empowerment. Discussions and research around the crucial role that amapiano plays will be at the centre of the summits message.
Music will be further studied, not only placing a spotlight on it but the artists and their wellbeing, especially from townships. Many aspects of the industry will also be covered, such as brand management, PR and legal rights.
Unifying African creatives promoting amapiano on a larger scale and echoing the role that music plays in socio-economic development is also at the crux of the summit.

The 2-day summit will be hosted from 9am until 4pm on each day , with a Dj line-up that will serve as entertainment following the workshops.
