An auspicious occasion, celebrating rich, world class South African Music.
The official nominations announcement event, took place in a leafy suburb of Randburg north of Johannesburg yesterday.
The cream of the crop in showbiz came out to play, ladies dressed to the nines and gents looking oh so dapper. One would think it was the actual award ceremony.
Best dressed ladies included Singer Khokho Madlala who looked ravishing in a pink dress while Big Brother contestant Nthabiseng “Nthabii” Mothutsi looked like a vision in a black and white ensemble.
The gents did not disappoint too. Singer Langa Mavuso looked dapper in his tux, with a brown coat over his shoulders and Singer Tresor fashion forward look stole the show.
The host with the most, Lawrence Maleka knocked it out the park with his witty yet super charming presenting skills. He is one of the best male presenter this country has to offer. A force to be reckoned with indeed. Lawrence had the crowd eating out of his hand. What a marvel to experience – LIVE!

The Entertainment did not disappoint at all. Sjava gave us a memorable performance, reminding the masses that he is indeed a BET award winning Artist. He is international. He is gone, as the cool kids would say.
Speaking to SA Positive News, when asked what to expect from him in the near future, Sjava said: “I’m working on my EP which should be released before the end of this year, it’s a body of work that I’m taking my time with because I want it to be perfect. A treat to my fans.”
Other performances to write home about, rap duo TLT brought back Hip Hop vibes we so miss in the music scene as of late. The #Yanos of course dominating South African dance floors and charts.

To end such a perfect occasion, MFR Souls and Miss Pru did justice. Both delivered electrifying sets. The entire crowd at the Garden Venue Boutique Hotel, having the time of their lives.
