New Date Announced for Legends and Legacy Ball Africa Awards

Imajin and Fusion South Africa and Imajin and Fusion Global, the Ghana-based company specialising in experimental music events, has announced a new date for the highly anticipated Legends and Legacy Ball Africa Awards. Originally planned for 8 June 2024, the event will now take place on 13 July 2024 and remain at the Sandton Convention Centre, Johannesburg from 16:00 SAST

This change comes in response to the event organiser’s commitment to addressing key technical enhancements to ensure a seamless and unforgettable experience for all attendees.

The Legends and Legacy Ball Africa Awards celebrate Africa’s rich musical heritage and honour the legendary artists whose contributions have significantly shaped Africa’s cultural identity. This year’s event is particularly special as it marks 30 years of democracy in South Africa and coincides with Africa Month celebrations.

The Legends and Legacy Ball Africa Awards is celebrating the esteemed Princess of Africa – Yvonne Chaka Chaka as this year’s main honouree. The evening will feature a star-studded lineup, including King Promise, Camidoh, Mafikizolo, DJ Zinhle, Corlea Bortha and Princess MacDonald, to name a few. These artists will deliver electrifying performances, paying tribute to Africa’s rich musical legacy.
