Lesley Mofokeng appointed spokesperson for South African Music Awards

‘It is an incredible honour for the SAMA to entrust me with this responsibility”

The Recording Industry of South African (RiSA) has appointed Lesley Mofokeng as the spokesperson for the SA Music Awards (SAMA26) with immediate effect.

Mofokeng is a renowned former entertainment journalist and editor who worked for the Sunday Times, City Press and Sowetan newspapers in an illustrious 21 year long career. He is also a published author of several books and a popular-culture commentator who has featured on a few radio stations and TV programmes.

Having served as a judge for the SAMA for years, he brings a good understanding of the industry and the processes involved.

‘It is an incredible honour for the SAMA to entrust me with this responsibility. I have long been passionate about the local entertainment industry, especially music, and I look forward to working with the teams behind SAMA26 to make it a success’, said Mofokeng
