Opening day of Tropics Business Summit

The 3rd Annual Tropics Business Summit took place on the 16th-19th October in Johannesburg (Rosebank and Sandton area) where a variety business men and women across Africa as well as the other parts of the world gave speeches and also presented their businesses.

This was an opportunity for business men and women to engage with their counterparts and possibly establish a business relationship or networking.

The summit opened on the 16th with its inaugural Women in Business seminar where women who lead in various business fields had an opportunity to share their success stories and held panel discussions on how to brand Africa as a top investment destination.

The theme of the summit on day 3 was empowering women and the youth to take lead in the world of business and enhancing the growth of small businesses around the African Continent.

Mutualism presented at the summit. It is one of the businesses which are dedicated to foster economic growth in lesser developed communities. They scout potential business people who have the ambition for business and cater for their needs by providing the necessary funding to establish their businesses

Faith Mangope who is the Founder and Managing Director of a school called Technology and Leadership Institute also took to the podium. The mission of the school is to help young and older women develop skills which can propel them to reach their optimum potential in Technology.

Faith believes that young women have the capacity to do great things in the corporate environment; all they need is a platform which supports their desires and dreams.
